With experience came maturity and the confidence to pick up the pen and author the critically acclaimed book - HEARTS THAT WROTE HISTORY - "be human not by birth, but by Karma" (BIOGRAPHY OF V P MENON). Published by Media House in 2016, the book was later adapted into a play which was a run- away success and got wide media coverage. I will always cherish this achievement as a highpoint in my life.

Hi friends! My name is Ajith G. Maniyan, an actor and impresario.
As far as I can remember, I was fascinated by theatre, films and acting. Unwittingly they struck deep roots in my impressionable mind. Acting became my first love.
The rich and vibrant cultural tapestry of God’ Own Country-Kerala formed the bedrock of my artistic inclination that grew into an insatiable passion for theatre and all that is innovatively creative, covering the entire spectrum of different genres of performing arts. - Making of a versatile artiste

I am a 1st ranker and Gold medalist in Diploma in Film Acting (DFA), Film & Television Institute of Tamil Nadu, (1997-98). After completing FCP [Final Cut Pro] and editing course from Keltron Animation Centre, Trivandrum, Kerala, I also became proficient in film making. My love for the arts and understanding of all the art mediums opened the floodgates of my mind’s imagination that drew me deeper into the varied genres of performing art and in the midst of the leading fraternity of Indian theatre.

My restlessness grew as the time had now come to release the artist within. Delhi beckoned, and I promptly moved to the cultural capital of the country by taking up a job in the Ministry for Information and Broadcasting as Staff Artiste, Actor, in the Bureau Outreach Communication, Song & Drama Division, Ministry of I&B, New Delhi. Along with responsibilities came wider exposure and interaction with artists from across all regions of the country. My full-time pursuit in nurturing my artistic instincts became more intense and richer.

For a young lad from Kannur, Kerala to have come this far, my journey has been incredibly overwhelming and very humbling. The love, support and most importantly the trust reposed in my initiatives has established me in the national scene of performing arts-Theatre, making me a popular face in the Delhi creative circuit as an actor, director, producer and an impresario. The launch of VRIKSH THE THEATRE, New Delhi has given further impetus.

Thespis National Micro Drama Festival
Vriskh is the only one of its kind of theatre group that organizes an annual National Micro-Drama festival in the world!
On 9th April 2017, THESPIS, India’s first ever National Micro Drama Festival, was premiered at Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts. This day-long theatre festival of Vriksh was supported by IGNCA, members of Vriksh the Theatre, “Art for Humanity” and art connoisseurs and the media, all of whom wholeheartedly supported the fledgling initiative which started with barely any resources to speak of except the passion to introduce a new concept.

Vriksh The Theatre
As success is only a series of opportunities that leverages an individual’s talent, I established Vriksh-The Theatre, ‘Art for Humanity’ in 16th August 2015 .
I believe that theatre serves a social purpose and so it has to be presented with responsibility. Also, talent is boundless and so not limited to only a privileged few in the society. Talent thrives even in the streets where we often see street children performing, but mostly we ignore them, very often because of ego’s coming in the way of appreciation. We lose out on many gifted actors. I took the plunge to make a difference however small in hunting acting skills in street children.
Encouraged by the grand success of Vriksh, this theatre platform has till date showcased a total of 7dramas and 150 artists since its launch. Vriskh successfully went on feature in two consecutive Best of India Records in 2017 and 2018.
As Secretary of Vriksh,it is a matter of pride for me as well as its patrons and members that this initiative has grown to an incredible theatre festival of its kind and is attracting great response from the audience and media which is increasing in its stature and reach to serve the purpose of Vrikh’s vision and mission.
